IOSSC is a direct development focused initiative; works closely with the main stakeholders, namely governments, private sector, civil society, and academia including public-private partnerships, in developing and delivering programmes specifically in the areas of capacity building, infrastructure, investment, tourism, culture, education, health, environment, and enhancement of technology transfer, among others.
The South-South Awards is an annual media event organized by the permanent missions of member states to the United Nations, United Nations agencies and commissions, the International Organization for South-South Cooperation (IOSSC) and South-South News, for the purpose of recognizing exceptional contributions on the part of heads of state and government, as well as executives from private sector and the civil society to the implementation of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and sustainable development around the world.
The Global Business Incubator (GBI) is a worldwide resource for the successful development of entrepreneurial projects, with an incubation assistance program offering concrete resources to foster business ideas and early-stage projects. It is an initiative developed to stimulate economic growth, reduce poverty and promote progress towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals by assisting participants from sustainable and socially responsible sectors to maximize their economic opportunities.
